10k Training Plans

The 10K is a challenging race that bridges the gap between the 5K and the half marathon. Whether you're looking to set a new personal best, or aiming to conquer the 10K distance for the first time, we have a plan for you.

Our training plans combine speed work to boost your VO2 max, threshold and tempo runs to enhance your lactate threshold, steady-state runs to improve movement economy, and strength training to build a robust and resilient body.

Each plan is customized to your fitness level and goals, delivered through our user-friendly app, and supported by Coach Johnny & Coach Elizabeth. Prepare to tackle the 10K with confidence.

About Our 10k Training Plans

10K Beginner

The 8-week 10K Beginner training plan is designed for runners looking to run their first 10K. The plan includes 3 running workouts/week (various speed, easy effort, long runs), 1 strength workout/week and 1 day of runner pre-hab/week.

10k intermediate

The 8-Week Intermediate 10K training plan is designed for runners who are looking to improve their time and performance. The plan includes 4 running workouts/week (various speed, easy effort, recovery, long runs) and 2 strength workout/week.

The plan peaks at a total weekly volume of ~13 miles and a long run of 6.2 miles.

10K Advanced

The 10 week 10K Advanced training plan is a high volume program designed for experienced runners who are looking to improve their 10K time. The plan includes an intensive schedule of 4 running workouts/week (various speed, easy effort, long runs) 2 days of strength work and 1 recovery workout/week.

The plan peaks at a total weekly volume of ~30 miles and a long run of 9 miles.
