Marathon Training Plans

The Marathon is the mother of all races. Many say "you aren't a runner until you've done your first marathon." Wether you are training to do a walk run version of the 26.2 or trying to break the 2:00 world record, we've got a program for you.

Our plans combine speed work to increase your vO2 max, threshold, and tempo runs to improve lactate threshold, classic steady-state work for movement economy, and strength work to make a bulletproof frame. 

Of course, everything is tailored to your level, delivered through our easy-to-use app, and supported by Coach Beck and Coach Johnny B. 

About Our Marathon Plans

Full Marathon Beginner

The 16 Week Beginner Marathon training plan is designed for runners who are looking to train for their first marathon. The plan includes 3-4 running workouts (various speed, easy effort, long runs) 2 strength workouts (upper body & lower body) and 1 day of recovery work per week. The plan peaks at a total weekly volume of ~33 miles and a long run of 20 miles.

Full Marathon- Intermediate

The 18-Week Intermediate Marathon training plan is designed for runners who have ideally already run a marathon and are looking to improve their time and performance. The plan includes 4-5 running workouts/week (various speed, easy effort, long runs) and 1-2 strength workouts/week. The plan peaks at a total weekly volume of ~54 miles and a long run of 20 miles.

Full Marathon Advanced

The 16-Week Advanced Marathon training plan is a high volume plan designed for runners who have ideally run a handful of marathons and are looking to improve their time and performance. The plan includes 4-5 running workouts/week (various speed, easy effort, long runs), 1-2 strength workouts/week and pre-hab work. The plan peaks at a total weekly volume of ~52 miles and a long run of 21 miles.
